Ghost of Blackwood Manor

The Aiden Adventures: Ghost of Blackwood Manor By JP Dumas Rule number one of the Official School Safety Handbook: Never, ever trespass at Blackwood Manor. Rule number two: Definitely don't do it during a torrential Scottish thunderstorm. Aiden lives for a brilliant idea. His best friend, Iain, lives in mortal terror of breaking the rules, getting his clothes ruined, or missing teatime. But when a sudden downpour forces them to take a shortcut past the spooky, abandoned Blackwood Manor, Aiden's curiosity gets the better of them. The massive iron gates are mysteriously ajar. The grand oak door unlocks itself from the inside. And before Iain can even check his digital watch, the boys are trapped inside a gothic nightmare filled with self-playing pianos, soot-spewing fireplaces, and a furious, glowing-green Scottish chieftain named Sir Roderick Blackwood. Armed with a pair of muddy mountain bikes, a terrifying phantom hound, and a whole lot of panic, Aiden and Iain have to run for their lives if they ever want to see home again. Can two rule-breaking kids outsmart a centuries-old curse, or are they destined to haunt the castle forever? A thrilling, laugh-out-loud middle-grade adventure about friendship, bravery, and why you should always listen to the safety handbook (except when you shouldn't).
