John McIlhone was born in New Zealand and upon graduating from Otago University lived in Edinburgh, Scotland for a period before settling in Australia in 1995. He obtained an MBA from Curtin University Graduate School of Business in 2007 and worked for many years in Economic Development, including a stint as an Advisor to the Australian Government during the Global Financial Crisis. A period of self-employment as a business owner confirms he doesn’t always get it right while this book is the debut performance. It is a distinct departure from the business focus of previous and current writing obligations and the first serious attempt at writing for fun. Thus, the lead motivators are personal enjoyment and entertainment for all, with mortality another more subtle, ongoing consideration and influence. Becoming a serious author may be the aim but it is pending, with the immediate career focus upon renewable and sustainable energy generation; the planet needs all the help it can get.
