SJ Dawson started writing in 1995 following a kidney transplant and wrote her first children's story Rainbow Dust in 1996. In 2018 her kidney function dropped to a level at which she could no longer work so, she returned to her writing. She signed a contract in February 2019 with Purple Parrot Publishing and Rainbow Dust was released world wide in the July. The second book in the series Rainbow Dust and the Moon was released on the 31st of July 2020, to coincide with International Marshmallow Day because the moon in her book is made of the lovely sweet gooey stuff. The third book is written and ready for the editing process and book four is developing inside her head! Her readers love her imaginative storytelling and how she really brings her characters to life from the very start. Toddlers up to children aged 10 and adults have fallen in love with her books, stories and characters. Although she loves creating children's books she is also an aspiring novelist. She is working on two novels, one an historical family saga set at the start of WWI, the second a psychological thriller as well as a young adult fantasy book.
