The Abenaki are from the Northeast. Native American languages and Latin are used in this series to identify specimens. There are 18 books in total featuring Kimberly's favourite landscapes, waterscapes, insects, plants, birds and wildlife images.
"These soon-to-be butterflies were photographed in Maine. Milkweeds are a vital plant for the species to survive. Wild open landscapes, where milkweeds thrive, are disappearing. This is a critical pollinating species that needs your help to prevent it's extinction. Please consider planting native milkweeds if you have the outdoor space."
