Three volumes of poetry in one e-Boxset!
“Beautifully presented by a beautiful lady. Freya has had a tough journey and great sadness in her life, her writing is sensitive and insightful. Thank you Freya.” M Callow
This is a poetical biography in three parts.
Insides deals with Freya's struggles with cancer.
My Mythology reveals her sources of inspiration and her take on the wonderful and weird world of fantasy.
This Is Me is an honest, sometimes tongue-in-cheek look at herself and the world around her.
If you really want to know Freya better than anyone, read this. This is honest, down-to-earth poetry that reflects the author's true soul.

Part One
Colostomy
On 14th July 2014 I was admitted to hospital with a swollen abdomen, high temperature and vomiting. I hadn't had a bowel movement for a week. I was diagnosed with a malignant tumour in my bowel. Before the tumour could be removed, I had to get rid of the waste products building up in my intestines. The only way to do this was to have a colostomy. When I came round, I had to come to terms with the fact that I had cancer, as well as dealing with a stoma.
Stoma-ached
my insides on my outside,
red blancmange in jellied form,
dark innards encrusting
pale, tired flesh,
interruption of natural order -
raspberry flavoured belly belches.
Indignity
the indignity of bagpipe songs
issuing from my abdomen
a parumping chorus in fits and starts
silence,
then,
a final triumphant bray!
Stoma Elfje
rosette
blooms, first
prize, flushed in
untidy splurged circular mess;
stoma
Pink
pink little stoma rosebud bright
innocently gleams in the light
who could believe such pure flesh
could vomit forth such filthiness?
I don't feel like writing today.
pulling, aching feeling warns me not to do too much, reminds me to sit down and rest.
feeling stronger... but more weary after visitors.
managed a 7 minute walk out in the lane. 3.5 mins out, 3.5 mins back. Totally exhausted.
finding stillness and peace, even as my muscles ache and nag; standing barefoot in the grass doing tai chi.
