The Purpose of Life: What leads us towards our True Purpose

We all exist in this world. To some of us the world is really beautiful,l but some of us find the world to be a really cruel place to live in. Everyone has their own definition, thoughts and feelings about this world, but has anyone ever raised the questions "Why do we continue to live?" "What is our purpose?" and "What leads us to it?" The factors affecting our path to purpose, the positives and the negatives.

Here's the thing, we human beings as individuals have different purposes in life and I think that we are the only species where each individual has his/her own purpose of life. I mean have you ever seen a lion act fundamentally different from another lion? No, Panthera Leo as a species has only one purpose, but we as human beings can even manipulate that, we can make a lion to perform tricks on a leash and many humans have the purpose of "manipulating different species to their own profit/good." Still one doesn't know one's purpose of life.
